QA/QC Mechanical Inspector – Shipyard Projects

About the role

The QA/QC Mechanical Inspector will support the MEW Power Stations & Water Distillation project in Kuwait, focusing on boiler and piping inspections. The role is part of the Project Management Department and ensures that all mechanical works meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections and verify compliance with engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Conduct calibration of measurement equipment and operate CMM machines.
• Apply NDT methods, tolerancing, material testing, and weld inspection procedures.
• Execute metrology checks, quality audits, and root‑cause analysis for non‑conformities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and statistical process control records.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience on power‑station and water‑distillation projects, specifically boiler and piping.
• Proven track record of working in shipyard or heavy‑industry environments.
