Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

KUWAITNET is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its mobile applications, web portals and web applications. The role involves both manual and automated testing across the full development lifecycle, working closely with developers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents and provide timely feedback.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Estimate, prioritize and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects.
• Design, develop, execute and maintain manual and automated tests for mobile, web portal and web applications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, system and end‑to‑end testing.
• Conduct non‑functional testing such as usability, compatibility, performance and security testing.
• Verify application functionality across browsers, devices, operating systems and screen sizes.
• Identify, reproduce, document and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues, verify fixes and assess impact.
• Support user acceptance testing and assess release readiness.
• Report testing progress, unresolved defects, quality risks and blockers.
• Improve QA processes, test coverage and testing practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of hands‑on QA experience testing mobile or web applications.
• Practical experience in both manual testing and test automation.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression testing and QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience creating clear test plans, test cases and defect reports.
• Hands‑on experience with testing tools and defect‑tracking systems.
• Ability to develop, maintain and troubleshoot automated test scripts.
• Understanding of the application development lifecycle and the role of QA.
• Experience with cross‑browser, mobile device testing and responsive layouts.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage testing priorities across multiple projects.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with technical and business teams.
