Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a growing agriculture and food production company seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to own the entire accounting function and work directly with the CEO. The role will drive accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and support the business as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage the full accounting cycle and day‑to‑day finance activities.
• Lead Odoo ERP setup, implementation, configuration and daily control.
• Perform monthly and year‑end closing, preparing P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow statements and management accounts.
• Maintain full control of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, accruals and provisions.
• Conduct bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Apply inventory accounting, costing, COGS and production/manufacturing accounting principles.
• Develop and monitor budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Manage payroll accounting and salary portal requirements.
• Handle supplier payments, banking transactions and financial controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain internal financial controls.
• Collaborate with operations to guarantee accurate ERP data, inventory records and costing.
• Identify and resolve accounting, reconciliation, ERP and control issues independently.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑10 years of solid accounting experience, preferably in Kuwait.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, agriculture or FMCG environments is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Kuwait Cooperative Societies and related collections/reconciliations is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work independently, establish procedures and support a growing company.
