Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Kuwait

About the role

Deloitte, a global professional services firm, is seeking a Senior Audit & Assurance professional for its Kuwait practice. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, building trust with stakeholders, and contributing to the overall audit plan and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services while considering regulatory impact and risk management.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure they are met throughout the engagement.
• Prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions and distinguish accounting from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to enhance business understanding and professional skepticism.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder trust and understand service expectations.
• Strong awareness of regulatory requirements and risk management implications.
• Experience in preparing audit scope documents and coordinating with multiple audit teams.
• Ability to track and integrate audit deliverables and findings in a timely manner.
• Understanding of audit quality milestones and the audit planning timeline.
• Proactive documentation skills and clear distinction between accounting and auditing judgments.
• Capacity to develop cross‑functional relationships and apply professional skepticism.
