Senior Cloud Security Consultant

About the role

The Senior Cloud Security Consultant will act as the lead security advisor for government organisations adopting cloud services. You will guide secure, compliant migration to Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure while aligning with Kuwait’s National Cybersecurity Strategy and data residency requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory on secure cloud adoption for public‑sector entities in GCP and Azure.
• Design and evaluate secure cloud landing zones, governance frameworks and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Assess cloud architectures for compliance with national benchmarks and international best practices.
• Advise on IAM, network segmentation, data protection, incident response and threat modelling.
• Ensure alignment with Kuwait data residency and sovereignty laws.
• Collaborate with cloud providers and government stakeholders on multi‑cloud and hybrid designs.
• Create and maintain security reference architectures, policies and cloud security roadmaps.
• Mentor internal security teams and transfer knowledge to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security.
• Hands‑on expertise with GCP and Azure security tools, configurations and compliance models.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST and regional data‑privacy regulations.
• Experience advising public‑sector or regulated organisations.
• Knowledge of GCC and Kuwaiti government cybersecurity policies (CITRA frameworks, National Cybersecurity Strategy).
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
