Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

The Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer is responsible for the engineering and operational support of completion and workover activities on one or more rigs or rig‑less operations. The role includes preparing detailed programs, procedures and AFE’s, supervising junior staff, and acting as a technical advisor on‑site when required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review Completion and Workover Programs, procedures and cost estimates.
• Perform detailed design checks, hardware compatibility reviews and regulatory compliance assessments.
• Prepare well status reports, flowcharts, contingencies and final hardware designs.
• Write and execute programs for sub‑assembly make‑up, pressure testing, cementing and fluid management.
• Coordinate with subsurface, production, drilling contractors and service companies to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Participate in cost control, technology evaluation and selection of suppliers.
• Maintain documentation in QUEST, manage exemptions to IPM standards and support HARC preparation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in well completions, workovers and related engineering disciplines.
• Proven ability to mentor field engineers and trainees.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, well integrity and high‑pressure treating standards.
• Excellent analytical skills for program review, cost analysis and risk assessment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with InTouch for best‑practice management.
• Experience using QUEST for documentation and change management.
• Familiarity with IPM standards, high‑pressure treating procedures and barrier management.
