Senior Implementation Engineer – Backup Solutions (Commvault, Veeam & Dell Technologies)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer to design, deploy and manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions across a range of platforms. The role focuses on Commvault, Veeam and Dell Technologies backup products and supports a variety of physical, virtual and cloud workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise Commvault infrastructure (CommServe, Media Agents, Client Agents, storage policies, deduplication, DR configuration, archiving).
• Configure and manage Veeam Backup & Replication and Dell EMC backup solutions (Data Domain, Networker, Avamar, PPDM, Cyber Recovery).
• Develop backup policies, retention, replication and archive strategies for servers, virtual environments, databases, NAS/SAN and cloud workloads.
• Perform health checks, performance tuning, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Plan and execute Disaster Recovery, Cyber Recovery and Business Continuity strategies, including immutable and ransomware‑protected backups.
• Lead migration projects from legacy platforms to modern backup solutions.
• Prepare implementation documentation, SOPs, HLD/LLD and provide L2/L3 technical support.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers and project teams throughout implementation and support phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of enterprise backup implementation and administration experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience with Commvault (mandatory).
• Strong experience with Veeam and Dell backup solutions is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of large‑scale backup deployments and migrations.
• Relevant certifications (Commvault CCE, VMCE, Dell Data Protection certifications, etc.).
