Senior Instrument Technician

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Senior Instrument Technician to lead and support instrumentation activities at its Kuwait site. The role involves supervising technicians, maintaining complex control systems, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of plant instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide instrumentation technicians and fitters.
• Perform and oversee maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, fire & gas, safety, and other instrumentation systems.
• Prepare and update equipment and preventive‑maintenance data using a CMMS.
• Plan manpower, materials, tools, and test‑equipment requirements for maintenance activities.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate repair, testing, calibration, and final inspection.
• Maintain daily reports, calibration records, equipment history, and spare‑parts utilization.
• Provide technical guidance and induction training to new team members.
• Support shutdown and trip analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and permit‑to‑work requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electronics Engineering or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a diploma with 8 years of experience (including 4 years in a similar role).
• Strong supervisory, technical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in oil & gas, refinery or petrochemical environments.
