Senior Irrigation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Irrigation Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of irrigation systems for landscape projects. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of irrigation technicians and workers.
• Analyse contract drawings and specifications to produce detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and shop drawings.
• Perform mechanical and technical calculations to optimise water usage.
• Prepare and submit manufacturer data sheets for irrigation equipment.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as Method Statements, Work Instructions, and progress reports.
• Coordinate site inspections with supervisory consultants and obtain approvals.
• Develop site construction plans and secure senior‑management approval.
• Manage project budgets and control costs throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in a senior irrigation engineering role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to safety and industry best practices.
