Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

The organization is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to shape and execute its procurement strategy for large‑scale EPC projects, specifically substation and overhead transmission line works. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management of sourcing, contracting and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and lead the procurement strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Direct all procurement activities – sourcing, purchasing, contract review, administration and implementation.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favourable terms and robust contractual protections.
• Ensure timely, transparent and cost‑effective procurement while meeting quality, technical and project requirements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate procurement‑related risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, legal and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10–15 years progressive procurement experience with leadership in EPC projects.
• Proven experience in substation and overhead transmission line procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering) or related discipline.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.

Required skills

• SAP ERP – Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) modules.
• EPC procurement practices.
• Contract administration and supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering procurement requirements.
