Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead technical oversight on major water and infrastructure projects in Kuwait. The role involves ensuring that all structural and civil works are executed to the highest standards of design, safety, and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversight of structural and civil construction activities across large‑scale infrastructure developments.
• Monitor the construction of reinforced concrete and heavy civil structures, including foundations and water‑retaining facilities.
• Review engineering submissions, shop drawings, construction methodologies and technical documentation for compliance.
• Verify quality and accuracy of structural works through inspections, testing results and material compliance checks.
• Support quality control and inspection processes, maintaining accurate records of inspections and non‑conformances.
• Contribute technical input to project reporting, progress monitoring and issue resolution.
• Review completion documentation and as‑built records to confirm compliance with project deliverables.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge within the project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, construction supervision or infrastructure delivery.
• Proven experience supervising reinforced concrete and heavy civil works in a consultancy environment.
• Strong track record of delivering projects to quality, safety and schedule targets.
