Service Engineer - HSE

About the role

The Service Engineer – HSE is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of ambient air quality, source emissions and indoor air quality monitoring systems. You will lead calibration, maintenance and data management activities while supporting client technical discussions and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor ambient air quality, source emissions, indoor air quality, work atmosphere, meteorological instruments, sound level meters and high‑volume samplers.
• Calibrate AAQM analyzers for pollutants such as PM10, PM2.5, SO₂, H₂S, NO₂, NOₓ, NH₃, CO, CO₂, O₃, hydrocarbons and VOC‑BTEX.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AAQM continuous analyzers, CEMS, IAQ monitors, high‑volume samplers, sound level meters and generators.
• Manage data collection, generate reports and compile meteorological data, including wind‑rose diagrams.
• Develop SOPs for the AAQM laboratory and sound level meter operations.
• Assign tasks to field assistants and drivers, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to QHSSE rules.
• Justify technical specifications for new instruments and process procurement according to BV procedures.
• Conduct technical discussions with clients and enforce job safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering, or a Diploma in Instrumentation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ambient air quality and environmental monitoring services.

Required skills

• Knowledge of environmental and workplace atmosphere standards.
• Proficiency with environmental monitoring instruments and electrical/electronic circuits.
• Experience with work permit systems.
• Basic computer skills and good written & spoken English.
