Store & Inventory Controller – Food & Beverages

About the role

The Store & Inventory Controller will lead the inventory‑control system for a food‑and‑beverage operation, ensuring accurate stock handling from receipt to dispatch. This position combines hands‑on store duties with analytical reporting to support production and branch requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain an inventory‑control system, including item coding, classification, storage locations and measurement units.
• Receive and verify raw materials, packaging and supplies against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes.
• Inspect quantities, quality, batch numbers, production and expiry dates; reject non‑compliant items.
• Apply FEFO for perishable goods and FIFO where appropriate; record all stock movements.
• Prepare and issue approved stock requests for production and branches.
• Conduct daily, periodic and surprise physical counts; reconcile with system balances and investigate variances.
• Generate inventory‑variance reports and monitor minimum/maximum stock levels.
• Coordinate replenishment with Purchasing and track slow‑moving, near‑expiry and waste items.
• Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, labeling, food‑safety standards and prevent unauthorized stock movements.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in store or inventory control, preferably in food, restaurant or central‑kitchen environments.
• Proven handling of chilled, frozen, perishable and sensitive products.
• Strong knowledge of FEFO, FIFO, expiry control, batch tracking, item coding and classification.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory‑management systems.
• High accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Physically able to perform store duties.
• Valid transferable residency in Kuwait and immediate or short‑notice availability.
