Techno-Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations

About the role

The Techno-Functional Consultant will lead the analysis, design, configuration and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations solutions, aligning with Baker Tilly’s project and engagement management methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business processes and design functional solutions for project, contract, resource, time, expense, billing, revenue and profitability management.
• Configure Dynamics 365 Project Operations and automate workflows using Power Platform tools.
• Perform data migration, system integration and validation activities.
• Develop and execute test plans, support UAT and ensure successful implementation.
• Create reports, dashboards and analytical views with Power BI.
• Provide training, documentation and ongoing support to end‑users.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferably Project Operations.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Consultant Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate) are a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations configuration and support.
• Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Understanding of project accounting, budgeting, billing and revenue recognition.
• Experience with system integration, data migration and validation.
• Ability to produce functional specifications, test scripts and user guides.
