Tier 2 Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

KalSoft is seeking an experienced Tier 2 Cloud Operations Engineer to support Azure cloud environments. You will ensure system stability, manage incidents, and help maintain secure, high‑performing cloud services for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Handle operational incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate escalations with Tier 1 and Tier 3 teams.
• Support cloud monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and routine maintenance activities.
• Maintain system performance, availability, and health dashboards.
• Assist with cloud security, compliance, and governance initiatives.
• Produce accurate operational documentation and technical reports.
• Participate in change management, patching, and scheduled maintenance.
• Provide primarily remote support with occasional on‑site availability.
• Contribute to automation and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in cloud operations or managed services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience in 24 x7 support environments and in enterprise, government, or banking sectors is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Eligibility for legal sponsorship in Kuwait/GCC or local residency.

• Microsoft Azure operations and managed services.
• Cloud infrastructure, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Networking fundamentals.
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑500, AZ‑700, or AZ‑305.
