Training Officer – SCM & Safety Training

About the role

The Training Officer will develop and deliver training programmes that enhance the knowledge and skills of Alghanim Industries' workforce, particularly within supply chain management (SCM) operations. The role ensures employees are equipped to meet current and future business objectives while maintaining high safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and conduct training programmes for SCM staff, including MHE, defensive driving, and fire awareness.
• Deliver new‑starter MHE training and refresher courses for operators.
• Conduct staff inductions, first‑aid sessions and safety briefings.
• Attend monthly site safety meetings and report on training matters.
• Set training goals in collaboration with line managers to reduce accidents and improve performance.
• Investigate MHE incidents, evaluate procedures and recommend safety improvements.
• Maintain in‑house training facilities, equipment and training records.
• Research and implement new training methods, assess effectiveness and ensure skill transfer.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a trainer or facilitator, preferably in logistics or warehousing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MHE operative; certification preferred.
• Ability to manage the full training cycle from needs analysis to evaluation.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Organisational, administrative and self‑management abilities.
• Degree, diploma or equivalent experience; MHE instructor certification is a plus.
