Aerostat Operator II – ISR Support

About the role

The Aerostat Operator II provides Operations and Sustainment support for Persistent Surveillance Systems‑Tethered (PSS‑T) in OCONUS locations, delivering ISR, force protection and communications capabilities for joint and multinational missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform collection management, analysis, processing and dissemination of strategic and tactical intelligence.
• Produce, store and retrieve intelligence data by analyzing imagery, moving targets and geospatial information.
• Assist in emplacement and recovery of aerostat equipment and conduct pre‑flight, in‑flight and post‑flight checks.
• Maintain systematic cross‑reference intelligence records and files.
• Execute all other tasks or duties assigned related to aerostat operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of aerostat experience and two years of technical experience in a specialized discipline.
• Active Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid driver’s license and passport valid for at least six months.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, bend, kneel and walk extensively during shifts.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and ability to read electronic schematics.
• Networking and IT skills, including Cisco certifications (CCIE preferred).
• Mechanical maintenance of hydraulic, winch, tether, generator and HVAC systems.
• Experience with O&M of electro‑mechanical equipment and diagnostic tools.
