AI Voice Recording Contributor - Arabic (Gulf)

About the role

RWS is looking for AI Voice Recording Contributors to join an Arabic (Gulf) voice evaluation project that helps develop the next generation of AI technologies. This is a freelance, remote project of about one month, starting immediately, with flexible, task-based work of around 4-6 hours per day. The rate is 11 USD per hour.

You will read provided text prompts aloud on an internal platform, producing natural speech from native speakers of the Gulf Arabic dialect so that AI systems can better understand diverse languages, dialects and accents. Recordings are used to evaluate how agents respond to spoken instructions compared with text-based ones, and may be reviewed for quality and used in research, development and testing datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Read approximately 640 text cards aloud and record them exactly as written
• Produce clear, natural, high-quality speech following the provided guidelines
• Speak in your natural dialect and accent, without adding, omitting or altering words
• Re-record submissions if requested to meet quality standards
• Use the internal recording platform and follow detailed instructions

Required profile

• Native-level fluency in Arabic (Gulf) with authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target dialect
• Advanced English to understand written instructions
• Ability to complete a trial recording to confirm language variant and accent
• No imitation of dialects or accents other than your own
• Experience with speech recording projects is an advantage but not required
