Architectural Inspector

About the role

The Architectural Inspector will oversee the quality and compliance of construction activities, ensuring that all works meet the project specifications, drawings, and local regulations. This role involves close coordination with contractors, engineers, and the site inspection team to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in resolving contractor issues such as time extensions, change orders, and variations, and advise the Resident Engineer.
• Attend off‑site inspections, including international reviews of materials, mock‑ups, and testing as required by the contract.
• Participate in technical, operational, and supply‑chain meetings and prepare related correspondence.
• Review technical specifications and disseminate relevant information to discipline teams.
• Coordinate review of contractor construction schedule items (shop‑drawing logs, procurement and material submittal logs) with the Planning Engineer.
• Distribute received technical documents to appropriate team members.
• Provide technical support to site inspection teams for operations and material handling.
• Ensure proper storage, protection, and quality control of all delivered materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural inspection or related construction supervision.
• Diploma in Architectural Engineering or a comparable field.
• Membership in the Kuwait Society of Engineers or a local engineering society.
• Strong coordination, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise site works, provide clear updates, and maintain attention to detail.
