Area Operation Manager

About the role

The Area Operation Manager will lead a team of branch operations officers to ensure efficient transaction processing across the area, aligning with customer needs and ABK policies. Reporting to the AGM, RBD - Retail Projects and Branch Admin, this role focuses on people management, governance, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and develop branch operations staff, communicating operational procedures and ensuring compliance with people policies.
• Oversee high‑quality processing, data accuracy and documentation, advising branches on errors and corrective actions.
• Provide operational support to branches, direct sales and alternative sales teams, and communicate operational issues and change initiatives.
• Monitor implementation of policies, procedures and internal controls across branches, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Identify, escalate and mitigate operational risks, proposing solutions and ensuring audit findings are resolved.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Management.
• Minimum 7 years of banking sector experience, including branch operations and settlements.
• Proven experience in managing teams and driving compliance within a retail banking environment.
