Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales, overseeing daily operations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role blends strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and people leadership within a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines and supervise sales‑floor and stockroom activities.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, and train non‑management staff.
• Maintain visual displays, protect store assets, and conduct inventory control.
• Analyze sales reports to inform decision‑making and drive results.
• Operate Register/Point of Sale systems and ensure seamless checkout experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or at least one year of supervisory experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Strong customer focus, knowledge of current fashion trends, and a results‑driven work ethic.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑building skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, stay detail‑oriented, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Register/Point of Sale (POS) systems.
