About the role
Amentum seeks a Bengali Linguist (CAT II) to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait, providing language and cultural expertise to senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
- Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Bengali.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen with a current passport.
- ILR level 3 proficiency in Bengali and level 2+ in English.
- Willingness to obtain/maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Willingness to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24x7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs.
- Ability to undergo a medical examination.
