Consultant of Neurology

About the role

Taiba Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant of Neurology to lead high‑acuity patient care, improve diagnostic turnaround, and ensure excellent patient satisfaction across inpatient and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose neurological conditions and determine appropriate management plans.
• Perform approved neurological procedures within delineated privileges.
• Deliver specialist consultations to both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Review medical histories, prescribe and monitor treatments, and manage risks or complications.
• Share on‑call duties, maintaining response times within 30 minutes as per hospital policy.
• Maintain accurate, legible documentation in line with EMR and department standards.
• Coordinate follow‑up visits and monitor patient health status.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams.

Required profile

• 9+ years post‑Doctorate/Fellowship experience in Neurology (12+ years desirable).
• MBBS/MBBCH, master’s in the specialty, and Doctorate/Fellowship/Board Certification.
• Medical education from a Kuwait MOHE‑approved university.
• Strong clinical judgement in high‑acuity neurology cases.
• Clear, effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
