Costing Clerk – Cash Handling & Invoicing

About the role

The Costing Clerk will support the finance team by handling job costing, invoicing, cash collection and daily cash reconciliation. The role ensures accurate financial records and compliance with company policies in the Food & Beverage division.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cost calculations for jobs in progress and close job cards upon completion following pricing and discount guidelines.
• Generate invoices in the system and collect cash from customers.
• Operate the cash register, deposit daily cash to treasury, bank or authorized agents, and obtain acknowledgment on fund transfer forms.
• Verify and process disbursements with proper supporting documents.
• Record all receipts and payments promptly in the cash register and maintain orderly filing of invoices, job cards and receipts.
• Count, sort and wrap coins and currency; reconcile cash on hand with cash register balances daily.
• Prepare month‑end cash schedules and reconciliations on time.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Commerce graduate with ability to speak English and Arabic.
• Minimum 12 months experience in cash handling and disbursements.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting entries, reconciliations and month‑end schedules.
