Deputy Resident Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is seeking an experienced Deputy Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on large‑scale building projects in Kuwait. You will help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing day‑to‑day construction activities and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues early and implement corrective actions to keep the programme on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications and safety regulations.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings and material samples.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily and progress reports.
• Support contract administration tasks such as change orders, payment applications and claims management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering, including at least 3 years as a Deputy Resident Engineer on large‑scale building or infrastructure projects.
• Valid membership with the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical report writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
