Director, Equity Capital Markets (ECM) – Investment Group

About the role

We are seeking a Director to lead the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) franchise for a leading investment house in Kuwait City. The role will oversee the origination, structuring and execution of ECM transactions for high‑profile corporates, family offices and government entities across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of ECM mandates, from pitch and origination through structuring, execution and closing.
• Lead IPO advisory, share issuances, accelerated book‑builds, rights issues and related shareholder advisory.
• Coordinate internal teams, clients, regulators and syndicate partners throughout each transaction.
• Develop and deepen relationships with issuers, sponsors and institutional investors in the Gulf region.
• Provide senior‑level strategic guidance to high‑net‑worth and corporate clients.
• Mentor junior bankers and strengthen the firm’s regional ECM franchise.

Required profile

• 10+ years of investment banking or ECM experience at a leading advisory house, bank or independent advisor.
• Proven track record of executing IPOs, accelerated book‑builds, rights issues and capital increases.
• Extensive Gulf market exposure, with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait experience strongly preferred.
• Strong grounding in corporate finance across equity advisory, public M&A and shareholder advisory.
• Degree in finance, economics or a related field; fluency in English (Arabic an advantage).

• Technical toolkit for ECM transactions (valuation, modeling, structuring).
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
