Field Service Technician – IT Support at Camp Arifjan

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on‑site IT support for the US Army Central G2 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The role involves maintaining a Microsoft‑centric enterprise environment across multiple networks, ensuring continuous availability of critical intelligence systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier I and II service‑desk support in‑person, by phone, or via ticketing system, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Perform hardware installation, cable management, UPS checks, and component replacement for laptops, desktops, printers, and video‑conference equipment.
• Execute basic Active Directory tasks, manage NTFS permissions, and configure user accounts, drives, and printers.
• Diagnose and resolve software problems in Windows 11, MS Office, Outlook, Adobe, Java, and PKI‑based applications.
• Apply patches and updates locally or remotely using PowerShell and RDP.
• Document all work in the incident management tool (e.g., Remedy) and ensure timely ticket closure.
• Conduct site surveys, install IT equipment, and support video‑teleconference scheduling.
• Participate in special projects and day‑to‑day operations as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, 7 days a week, with 24/7 on‑call availability.
• Willingness to work onsite at Camp Arifjan under local labor laws.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
