General Manager - Motor Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Career Hunters is recruiting an experienced, commercially driven General Manager to lead the overall operations, strategy and profitability of an established motor insurance brokerage in Kuwait. The role covers new and used vehicle insurance, renewals and fleet portfolios, and strengthens relationships with automotive dealerships and insurance providers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies for revenue growth, profitability and market share; lead annual planning, budgeting and P&L ownership
• Build relationships with automotive dealerships and work with sales, finance and aftersales to raise insurance penetration and conversion
• Manage the motor insurance portfolio (new business, renewals, endorsements, claims support) and relationships with insurers
• Improve renewal rates, customer retention and service standards across the vehicle ownership lifecycle
• Ensure compliant, efficient operations, oversee claims support and SLAs, and report regularly to senior management and shareholders
• Lead sales, operations, renewals and customer service teams, set KPIs and drive succession planning

Required profile

• Kuwaiti nationals only
• 10-15 years in insurance, insurance brokerage or automotive financial services
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or a related field; MBA or professional insurance qualifications an advantage
• Minimum 5 years in a senior management role with direct P&L responsibility
• IRU certification required; previous dealership-affiliated brokerage experience highly preferred
