Geriatric Specialist / Consultant (7-9 yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Specialist or Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for elderly patients, performing surgeries, and coordinating with other medical professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient and outpatient consultations and manage referrals from other specialties.
• Analyze patient histories, medication allergies, and examination results to determine appropriate surgical interventions.
• Book operating rooms, notify support staff, and ensure all personnel are prepared for procedures.
• Prescribe pre‑operative and post‑operative treatments, including sedatives, diets, antibiotics, and wound care.
• Perform surgical procedures to correct deformities, repair injuries, and treat diseases.
• Lead and coordinate nurses, assistants, and other specialists during patient care.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, ensuring continuity of care.
• Conduct research, support staff development, and contribute to performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years of experience after specialization in geriatrics.
• Any gender; Arabic speaking preferred.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with consultants and referring physicians.
