Integrated Commercial Director – Field Development

About the role

The Integrated Commercial Director – Field Development leads commercial strategy for complex upstream field development projects, ensuring proposals and agreements maximise shareholder value while managing technical, operational, financial and contractual risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and negotiate proposals and tender documentation for integrated field development opportunities.
• Lead commercial structuring, including pricing, scope definition, contracting strategy and risk allocation.
• Apply upstream development knowledge across geoscience and engineering to create technically‑informed commercial solutions.
• Manage long‑term, complex sales processes covering sales, rental, operation, maintenance and integrated solutions.
• Support drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements such as asset acquisitions, joint operating agreements and commercial partnerships.
• Coordinate cross‑functional sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance, operations and product lines.
• Engage with senior customers and handle strategically important, high‑growth market opportunities.

Required profile

• Extensive business development experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
• Deep understanding of field development practices and ability to translate technical plans into commercial frameworks.
• Proven capability to lead integration across technical and commercial teams.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience delivering shareholder‑focused commercial outcomes.
