Inventory Control Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist will ensure accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse and distribution operations for a leading retail business. You will be responsible for maintaining stock integrity, controlling inventory movements, and coordinating with multiple internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations and system updates.
• Track batch numbers, expiry dates and returns to guarantee compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate inventory activities with warehouse, sales, procurement, finance and logistics teams.
• Minimize stock losses and shrinkage while improving overall stock visibility.
• Generate timely and accurate inventory reports for management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience in inventory control or related operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software.

Required skills

• ERP software proficiency for real‑time data integration.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Experience with barcode scanning systems.
• Knowledge of FEFO/FIFO inventory methods, batch and expiry management, and cycle‑count procedures.
