Kitchen Helper – Japanese Restaurant in Kuwait

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our Japanese restaurant in Abdali, Kuwait. The successful candidate will support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment and storage areas, following hygiene standards.
• Handle receiving, storing and rotating stock, ensuring proper labeling and temperature control.
• Support kitchen operations during peak periods by performing basic cooking tasks and plating.
• Dispose of waste and manage recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment (preferred).
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Good teamwork, communication and a proactive attitude.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and handle kitchen equipment safely.
