L2 Fraud Analyst – Banking (Remote then Onsite in Kuwait)

About the role

Capitex is building a fraud operations team for a leading Kuwaiti bank. This 6‑month consultancy starts remotely for two months and then moves onsite in Kuwait City for the remaining period.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and disposition escalated fraud alerts across digital channels such as online banking, mobile apps, cards, payments and account takeover.
• Handle complex fraud typologies end‑to‑end, including APP/social engineering scams, mule activity, device anomalies, first‑party and friendly fraud.
• Make and document risk decisions (block, restrict, release, escalate) within the bank’s risk appetite and SLA requirements.
• Provide feedback and coaching to L1 analysts and act as a referral point during your shift.
• Feed rule‑tuning observations to the fraud data analyst to reduce false positives.
• Support case documentation to evidential standards and contribute to SAR/STR referrals when needed.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in fraud operations within banking or payments, with at least 2 years at L2/escalation level.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise fraud monitoring platforms (e.g., FICO Falcon, NICE Actimize, SAS Fraud Management) and case management tools.
• Strong knowledge of digital banking fraud typologies and real‑time controls.
• Ability to make defensible decisions under SLA pressure and write clear case narratives in English.
• Availability to start in August 2026 and relocate onsite in Kuwait City from month 3.
