About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Malayalam linguists to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. This position is on an as‑needed basis for future assignments, providing language and cultural expertise to senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational linguist support during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe, translate, and analyze verbal communications and foreign‑language documents.
- Supply cultural perspective on historical, political, sociological, and economic trends.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a current passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Malayalam and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24 × 7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; pass a medical examination.
