Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while ensuring all aspects of care are completed accurately. The role requires strong compassion, excellent human interaction, and clear communication with both patients and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic patient care, monitoring and hygiene.
• Ensure that all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the broader healthcare team.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Willingness to work flexible hours and maintain good organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of patient needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided during training).
