Patient Care Tech I - 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides essential support to patients and their families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. Working closely with the healthcare team, the role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to deliver basic patient care throughout the day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑focused interaction throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum C grade and overall GPA ≥ 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible day‑shift hours (6:30 am – 7:00 pm).
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and to collaborate consistently with the care team.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided as part of onboarding).
