Patient Care Tech I - 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the 3rd Floor Rehab team provides essential bedside support to patients and their families. Working primarily during day shifts, the PCT ensures basic care, hygiene, and monitoring are delivered with compassion and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor patient conditions and report observations to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to coordinate patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and clear information to patients and families.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with 12 college credit hours, including English Composition (C or higher) and a GPA of 2.0 or above.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong sense of organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare-related skills quickly.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided by employer).
• Basic patient care techniques and hygiene procedures.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
