Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic patient care, hygiene assistance, and monitoring on the night shift for the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. The role requires compassion, strong communication, and collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Support the patient care team during night hours (6:30 pm–7:00 am).
• Engage patients appropriately based on their wellness and cognition.
• Proactively anticipate and address patient needs.

Required profile

• 12 college‑level credit hours including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and overall GPA ≥ 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and 72 hours bi‑weekly.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided).
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
