Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift (2nd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I (PCT) works on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit during the night shift, providing basic patient care, hygiene assistance, and monitoring. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, the PCT must demonstrate compassion, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, including hygiene and mobility.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and observations.
• Support the healthcare team by communicating patient needs and updates.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training sessions such as CPR, skills training, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum grade of C.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through employer training).
