Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift (2nd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit during the night shift. You will provide basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene while acting as a key member of the care team, ensuring compassionate and clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care tasks, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in on‑the‑job education covering CPR, skills training, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.
• Work a flexible night schedule (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) and log 72 authorized hours bi‑weekly.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills, collaborate with the care team, engage patients appropriately, solve problems proactively, and anticipate needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through training).
