Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift, 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides direct bedside support on the 2nd floor rehab unit during the night shift. The role focuses on basic patient care, hygiene, monitoring and acts as a key link between patients, families and the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed according to unit protocols.
• Communicate patient needs and updates clearly to nurses and other team members.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional presence throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a grade C or higher and a GPA of 2.0 or above (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills and apply them consistently.
• Proactive problem‑solving and collaborative attitude with the care team.
