About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports patients and families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene. The role requires compassion, strong communication, and collaboration with the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Support patient mobility and rehabilitation exercises.
• Document patient observations and report changes to nursing staff.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours including English Composition with a C or higher and a GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and strong organizational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to engage patients at appropriate wellness and cognition levels.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided if not already held).
