Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Therapy

About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide direct patient care in an outpatient therapy setting, working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role requires independence, accountability, and a commitment to professional growth while serving a complex patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions to patients of varying ages according to prescribed treatment plans.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in condition accurately.
• Maintain compliance with all facility competencies and state licensure requirements.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to adjust care plans as needed.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Current Arkansas licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Commitment to ongoing professional and departmental development.

Required skills
