Physical Therapy Assistant – Inpatient Rehab

About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work in an agency‑run inpatient rehabilitation setting, providing hands‑on care to a diverse and complex patient population. Reporting to a licensed Physical Therapist, the assistant will help deliver therapeutic interventions during the day shift (7:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.). The role emphasizes independence, accountability and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering treatment plans to patients of all ages.
• Perform patient assessments, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete all facility competency requirements.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection‑control and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid Arkansas State Board license for Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work the specified day shift and demonstrate independence.
• Commitment to professional and departmental growth.
