Procurement Officer

About the role

The employer seeks a Procurement Officer to handle the timely processing, procurement and delivery of agreed purchase items. The role covers supplier selection and evaluation, oversight of customs clearance and coordination of customer orders. The last day to apply is 30 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and orders within purchasing authority.
• Invite, assess and award or recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations and proposals.
• Establish and negotiate contract terms, maintain supplier relationships and administer contracts (delivery, receipt, warranty, damages and insurance).
• Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists.
• Work with management and department heads on procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
• Assist in developing specifications for equipment, materials and services.
• Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies and stay up to date with applicable rules, legislation and best practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
• Basic level qualification.
• Computer literacy qualification is essential.

Required skills

• Proven ability to use and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications.
• Experience with procurement software and asset software is essential.
• Accounting software is an advantage.
