About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Punjabi linguists to provide language support for U.S. military operations in Kuwait. This position is on an as‑needed basis for future contracts, offering the chance to work as a Subject Matter Expert for senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret spoken Punjabi during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications and foreign‑language documents for actionable intelligence.
- Provide translation services and cultural insights on regional historical, political, sociological, and economic trends.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a valid passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Punjabi and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance and work shifts in Kuwait.
Required skills
- Professional translation and interpretation of Punjabi.
- Ability to conduct cultural and contextual analysis of regional information.
