Purchasing Engineer

About the role

The Purchasing Engineer at Alghanim Industries (Kirby) is responsible for selecting and developing local and international suppliers, negotiating and executing supply contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all procurement activities follow established company procedures.
• Conduct technical reviews of requirements from Engineering and Operations.
• Prepare and issue RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents to suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations to select suppliers that meet price, delivery and quality criteria.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers for assigned products and services.
• Perform supplier evaluations after purchase order completion.
• Develop new sources to meet evolving business needs.
• Prepare management reports as required.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of purchasing experience; fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Industrial).
• In‑depth knowledge of procurement methods and procedures.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
