Registered Nurse – Night Shift, 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The 2nd Floor Rehabilitation unit at Baptist Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to work the night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am). The RN will deliver safe, therapeutic care to patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to facility protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to changes in condition, and document accurately in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless continuity of care during night hours.
• Educate patients and families about post‑acute care, discharge planning, and self‑management strategies.

Required profile

• New graduate or RN in good standing, licensed to practice in Arkansas.
• BSN preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as a full partner within an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing specialty education provided by the unit.

Required skills

• Current Healthcare CPR certification.
• Training in ACLS, PALS and/or NALS (provided as needed).
