Sales Executive - Commercial Freight

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive growth in our commercial freight division. The role focuses on retaining existing clients and acquiring new business while upholding company values and contributing to the logistics sales budget.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new customers while nurturing existing accounts.
• Achieve and exceed revenue targets, with at least 75% of budgeted revenue generated from new clients.
• Generate a minimum number of sales leads as set by management and convert them into revenue‑producing business.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with customers and coordinate with Customer Service, Operations and Documentation teams to fulfil service contracts.
• Prepare weekly activity reports, prospect lists and sales call plans for submission to the Customer Success Manager.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide input during weekly/monthly sales meetings.
• Collaborate with the Finance Controller to follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met and report on performance.

Required profile

• University graduate with 3‑5 years of proven sales and marketing experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as needed.
• Good grooming, professional appearance and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local geography, language and market dynamics.
