Senior Planning Engineer - EPC Oil & Gas

About the role

A leading international EPC contractor is recruiting an experienced lead planner to join its team on one of its projects in Kuwait. The role covers the planning and scheduling of the project across the engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the contract baseline schedule and revised schedules in coordination with the project team for the EPC project phases.
• Assist the Project Controls Manager at project start in setting up reports and registers for control of planning and scheduling, progress measurement and reporting.
• Review schedule updates prepared by the planner and coordinate with project teams to keep progress recorded and monitored.
• Flag deviations and delays from the approved plan to project management, in consultation with the Project Controls Manager.
• Help prepare claims and extensions of time using the appropriate delay analysis methods.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports and budgets, and maintain project planning records.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or construction.
• Experience as a planning engineer on EPC oil and gas construction projects in the Middle East.
